BARISTA SCHOOL

The Dimattina Coffee Barista School is a Level 1 Barista Basics class covering all the aspects in coffee and its proper preparation. With hands on training we teach how to extract the perfect shot of espresso and how to properly make with confidence a cappuccino, caffe latte, flat white, macchiato, mocha, ristretto, corretto and long black.  

We teach the techniques to create correctly steamed milk and how to avoid making your coffee
too weak, too bitter, too hot or too cold.

 

We also cover crucial cleaning and maintenance procedures for the espresso machine and coffee grinder which includes fault finding and required corrective measures. We provide an overview on coffee origins, history, culture, selecting, taste profile, buying, grind variations and storage.
