It’s been too long between washed Ethiopians. Thankfully we have this stunner available now!
The little known Shakiso district in the Sidamo Guji region is making a name for itself this year with numerous lots hitting Australian shores. Our pick of the bunch, the Abiyot Boru is a phenomenally clean and lively example of Ethiopian coffee at its finest. Approximately 700 small producers contribute to this washing station with an altitude ranging from 1650 – 1800 m.a.s.l. The citrus notes are this coffee’s main feature with intense lemon and lime, but other subtle flavours we’ve noticed include rhubarb, black tea, honeydew melon and nougat. One of our picks for this year and plenty available to go around.
