We love Bolivia and eagerly await the fresh crop every year. This one is an absolute stunner!
The Mamani’s are one of Bolivia’s most famous coffee producing families. Four brothers head up the production of their farms; Mauricio, Juan Carlos, Nolberto, and René. This particular lot comes from Juan Carlos and his wife Juana (a successful coffee producer in her own right) and represents the epitome of Bolivian coffee. Grown at two locations between 1500 and 1800 metres above sea level and processed at the family’s wet mill; Mamani Mamani coffee is world-renowned but also very rare. Due to quite low production yields and the high demand for Mamani coffee it can be hard to get hold of; however we have managed to secure a small quantity of this precious commodity for 2017. The cup is creamy and jammy with notes of citrus, toffee and overripe red plum.
