A natural processed coffee from one of Burundi’s premiere growing regions!

It is extremely rare to find a natural processed Burundi and even rarer to find one of this quality.  Shembati Mill is located near the township of Gatabo in Burundi’s Kayanza region.  Kayanza is particularly well-known for producing consistently excellent coffee year on year with the majority of Cup of Excellence winning farms located there.  The mill’s manager, Ramadhan Salum, established the mill in 2016 to cater to the local farmers who previously had to travel much further to sell their crop.  The typically juicy bourbon variety combined with the little-known Jackson gives this coffee a uniqueness not found anywhere else in Burundi.  In the cup you can expect a sparkling acidity with notes of raspberry, vanilla and fairy floss.  Shembati makes a great filter style and espresso style brew.
