We love our Pink Bourbon!
This extremely rare micro lot comes from Producer Gabriel Castaño at his farm La Granada in Colombia’s Huila state. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been able to get our hands on some of this coveted cultivar but we’re over-the-moon with this incredible Pink Bourbon. Utilising the region’s dark volcanic soil, Gabriel has managed to produce a small quantity of this coffee for export. Once harvested (only fully ripe cherries of course) the coffee undergoes a 28 hour dry fermentation process before heading to the drying beds. This innovative processing technique allows the resulting cup to develop complex phosphoric (think sherbet) acidity and really distinguishes it from other Colombian coffees. In the cup you can expect notes of peach, mandarin and golden syrup. Great as black espresso or filter style coffee; this coffee is a must-try!
