The most complex natural Ethiopian we’ve had yet!
Named for the local village that services the community, Hadeso is one of ten privately owned stations operated by Testi Coffee. Hadeso buys coffee from approximately 850 small growers in the area and pays premium prices for farmers that pick only the ripest cherries. This initiative, known as the Premium Cherry Selections (PCS) has been going since 2018 and has yielded some spectacular results for the quality leaving Hadeso. Testi Coffee’s aim has always been to support the local communities around their washing stations. Through their Project Direct initiative they have built primary schools in both Aricha and Guji and have also improved access to fresh water and electricity around their washing stations. This particular lot represents some of the best coffee Hadeso has produced. In the cup you can expect notes of fragrant hibiscus and tea rose with a medium body and flavours of redcurrant and cranberry, an extremely complex cup recommended as a black filter style or espresso.
