Kahete is a specialty grade AB microlot from the Rwaikamba Farmers’ Co-operative Society in Central Kenya.  The lot is, like most Kenyan coffee, a traditional washed process comprised of SL-28, SL-34 and Ruiru 11 varieties.  There are around 785 small producers that contribute to Kahete, each of whom are extremely conscious of good picking and storage practices.  In the cup you can expect some extremely complex notes of dried berries, orange marmalade sweetness and a crisp green apple acidity.
