An intensely floral and vibrant coffee from Southern Oromia in Ethiopia!
This washed processed Ethiopian is possibly the most floral coffee we’ve had to date! Grown at a staggering 1950 – 2250 metres above sea level, Mitiku Shanto is crisp, clean and delicate all at the same time. Originating in the Southern Oromia state of Ethiopia’s Sidamo region, this coffee was produced by 650 small producers and processed at the Uraga washing station. The average farm size for this region is 2 hectares and the vast majority of them are entirely organic. In the cup we have found notes of juicy white peach, jasmine, hibiscus, tea rose and pomegranate. This is all rounded off by a silky mouthfeel and syrupy sweetness; amazing as a light filter style or black espresso style coffee.
