An uncommon natural processed coffee from Rwanda!

This coffee is something special.  It is extremely rare to get hold of a natural processed Rwandan coffee and this microlot from Buf Coffee’s Remera station is tasting outstanding!  Buf coffee is owned by Epiphanie Mukashyaka (the first woman in Rwanda to own a private specialty coffee company) and her sons  Samuel and Aloys.  This particular microlot is a passion project of Samuel’s; he has been producing small amounts of natural processed red bourbon for a number of years now and has refined his technique considerably in that time.  Expect a typically ‘natural’ tasting coffee but with a ‘Rwandan’ distinctiveness.  The cup is very winey and juicy with notes of strawberry jam, rose and marzipan.  A versatile coffee but best enjoyed as black filter or espresso style.
