“Brazil coffee all tastes the same.” Wrong!  This stunner will change the way you think about Brazilian coffee!

Brazilian coffee is often regarded as very ‘samey’.  Generally you’ll get a lot of chocolate, nuts and caramel in the cup; not a bad thing by any means, but often it can be a bit uninteresting.  This beautiful lot, sourced through our friends at SanCoffee, is a perfect example of how different Brazil coffee can be.  Fazenda Santa Clara is a relatively low altitude farm sitting at around 1100 metres above sea level, but the unique micro-climate allows for huge flavour development.  This particular lot is comprised entirely of a little-known cultivar called Obatã; an unusually winey and vibrant coffee which is amplified by the meticulous natural processing employed by the farmers.  In the cup you can expect to find notes of sticky blackberry jam, the soft chocolatey bitterness of cacao nibs and a subtle booziness of a good Shiraz on the back end.  Santa Clara is ideal for espresso style coffees and goes great with milk.
