Santa Isabel has been owned and operated by the Valdés family for several generations and has seen a great deal of success in recent years. A big part of this success can be attributed to their stance on sustainability and ecology, with one-thrid of the farm dedicated as a natural reserve. Bio-diversity in crops lends more complexity to the coffee; combined with a high altitude and dense rainforest surrounds, Santa Isabel is a solid and spectacular coffee year upon year. This lot has an intense tropical fruit aroma and and a big body. Very ‘yellow’ in flavour, there are notes of peach, nectarine and citrus acidity throughout.
