Carmo de Minas

A chocolate bombshell of a coffee from the renowned Carmo Estate!
Luis Paulo, a fourth generation coffee producer, is the main man responsible for this outstanding coffee. After a successful career in the banking sector, Luis decided in 2004 to return to his roots and promote specialty coffee from the Carmo de Minas region. In partnership with his cousin Jacques Pereira Carneiro, Luis has gone from strength to strength with his efforts culminating in being elected President of the Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association in 2011. This particular lot comes from one of Carmo Estate’s farms named Luis’ grandfather. Senhor Niquinho (actually his grandfather’s nickname) sits at around 1100 metres above sea level and is surrounded by native forest and riparian woods. In the cup you can expect to find notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut and praline. An excellent coffee for espresso with milk.
