It’s been a while between PNG single origins but this stunner from Sihereni has got back on the wagon!
This fully-washed lot from the lofty Sihereni plantation in PNG’s Asaro region has been a bit of a game-changer for us. Most coffees from PNG that grace our cupping table utilise the wet-hull process (common in Indonesian coffee production) which – while unique – is prone to serious risk of defects and other quality issues. Sihereni is super clean and juicy; a stark contrast to typical PNG coffees. Sihereni is an old (pre-independence) plantation that has a reputation for its progressive attitude toward conservation and the quality of coffee it produces. In the cup you can expect notes of white grape, peach and lychee.
